Kazakhstan visa-support
Foreign citizens and those without citizenship need to obtain a visa (Kazakhstan visa sample is here) for entrance to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK), if otherwise is not regulated by the international agreements of the RK.The visa of the RK is glued in the passport or other acceptable document by the RK proving the identity and valid for passage (passport should expire in 6 months after the end of term of kazakhstani visa), and gives the right to enter and stay in the RK, as well as to leave it or cross the territory of the RK by transit.
1. The basis for issuing the visa of the Republic of Kazakhstan and prolongation of the visa are applications of international organizations, foreign countries' representatives as well as the state organizations of the RK to the Department of Consular Service (DCS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MFA) in Astana or its representation in the city of Almaty.
2. For obtaining visa of the RK foreign citizens should apply to a diplomatic/consular institution of the RK in the country of residence or staying at the moment and bring the following documents:
a) a valid passport (or international travel document). Validity of a passport should not expire earlier than three months after expiration of the validity term of the requested visa.
b) a copy of an invitation letter provided by DIMAL TRAVEL AGENCY with a notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 4 or 6 figured reference number (for the citizens of Asian and Arabian countries the invitation letter is with 4 or 6 figured reference number and Almaty or Astana cities Migrational Police seal),
c) filled up visa application form and photo.
The necessity of other documents provision is to be determined by the consul on the spot

Letter of Invitation to Kazakhstan procedure

AGENCY gets the ready visa-support letter or letters with a reference number and sends the copy of the invitation letter
or letters to the tourists by e-mail. At the same moment the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan
sends the ready invitation letter or letters copies to the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Republic of
Kazakhstan abroad.
5) The Invitation Letter must be printed by the tourist or tourists and brought to the Kazakhstan
Embassy Consular Department of the country the tourist or tourists resident or stay at the moment
in.
Kazakhstan Visas Expiration - Duration
1) Single, double, and triple entry visas of all categories are issued for a period of up to 90 days.
2) Single, double, and triple entry tourist visas are issued for a period of up to 90 days with a right to stay in Kazakhstan no longer than 30 days after each entry during a year.
3) Single, double, and triple entry transit visas are issued for the period of up to 90 days with a right to stay in
Kazakhstan for 5 days on every one-way transit during those 90 days.
4) Total duration of foreign national’s stay on the territory of the Republic Kazakhstan on a multiple entry “Business” visa must not exceed 120 days per year, except for individuals whose stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan is governed in accordance with the Decree of the Government of Kazakhstan N836 of June 19, 2001 “Rules of quota definition, conditions and order of issuing authorizations to employers hiring foreign workforce in the Republic of Kazakhstan”
Persons coming to Kazakhstan on private, business, student, tourist visa are not entitled to work in the country
Passports registration
Registration of foreign citizens at the Police should be done within 5 days after their arrival into Kazakhstan. This is also to inform, that the Rule on registration of foreigners now is amended. Nationals of the following countries - Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Germany, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Monako, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Singapore, USA, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, France and Republic of Korea can get registration, while receiving their visas at the Kazakhstan Consulates abroad, or can get registration while crossing border checkpoints at 12 international airports of Kazakhstan. After getting registration at Consulate abroad or at border checkpoint at 12 international airports of Kazakhstan there is no need to apply to Police for registration.
As from 01.01.2006, citizens of all countries arriving through 12 international airports of Kazakhstan, international rail station «Dostyk», through automobile border checkpoints Khorgos, Dostyk, Bakhty, Maikapshagai, Kordai, Kolghat and at sea ports Aktau, Bautino can also get registration at the border. If a foreigner does not get registration at above border checkpoints, it is also possible to obtain it at the local police.
